Need some help with taming mob quest

ok so i decided with the discount to get that crappy riding hog caus its only 14m which is cheap as hell. Anywho on my 75 WK i cant keep the stupid pig alive long enough to collect all the crap in the first part... any suggestions?

the mount quest where u need to protect the pig from aliens and collect the pheromone and note book things. is there any mob.wz edit or even a good strategy any1 knows to do that with a weaker melee based character? Because at the moment ive tryed like 10 times and i cant do it
