[Tutorial] How to make a Maple Story account from another country.

THIS LETS YOU MAKE AN MAPLE STORY ACCOUNT FROM ANY COUNTRY!
- This works for GMS / MSEA / EMS / KMS -

INFORMATION: We will be using something called 'SOCKS', its a internet protocol of network packets, in simpler terms, using your internet, you can use another proxy server to work behind. Thus giving your cyber identity a new form and shape : )
What we will do is use a SOCK from a country that you can download your desire version of Maple Story, so if we want to download Korean Maple Story [KMS] we will use a KOREAN SOCK. Simple. : )

Lets Start:

Step 1:
Find out your actual IP and country, if don't know already lol. This is so we can tell if our IP and Country have changed. Go to:

This is mine:


Step 2:
We need three things, the SOCK IP address, the port, and the version [VERSION 4 or VERSION 5]. We will get it from this site

Step 3:
Go there and look down for the list of SOCKS, on the left of each is the country, pick your country. I will be using Japan, for Japanese Maple Story.



Step 4:
One you have your country, on the right of it, you should click "CHECK", this will check if the SOCK still works. If it doesn't work it will tell you, then choose another, get one from your country that works, like this



Step 5:
Now the one that works, look at that whole line, make sure it says "WORKS"

Now all we need is that data in the FIRST red box.
Copy all that down we need it later.

Step 6:
Now you need to enter that data into your browser so it uses internet from that SOCK and we can make our MS account!
Use Firefox because it has easy, simple setup, I am using Firefox, so sorry I can only help with Firefox.

Step 7:
In FIREFOX, click Tools > Options


Step 8:
Click on the ADVANCED tab.


Step 9:
Click on the NETWORK tab:


Step 10:
Now click on the SETTINGS button:


Step 11:
Now the main Network panel will come up, follow these steps CORRECTLY!
So follow and do your SOCK settings like I do with my Japan SOCK.
So here's my information, do the same but with your own.


Step 12:

- Click "Manual Proxy Configuration"
- In SOCKS HOST, I will put: 143.90.221.228
- In PORT, I will put: 1080
- The SOCK version is this, either 4 or 5.

- So my version is SOCK VERSION 4.

Step 14: [Important Step]
- Click OK! Now try loading Google to see if it works.
NOTE: If its too slow that it makes you nuts, or if it doesn't work, try another SOCK from that site.

Step 15:
- TO RETURN TO YOUR NORMAL INTERNET WITHOUT THE SOCK, GO BACK TO THE NETWORK CONFIG AND CLICK "NO PROXY" on top, and click OK, your SOCK gets saved, so you could always come back : )

hm i didnt really read it but i might be cuz i had a acc in MSEA and then i had to switch to GMS i kinda miss MSEA but it siad i cant play in MSEA any more cuz im in usa D:

/facepalm. This allows you to change your IP to appear as if you're in another country, removing the country barriers. This is how I made a korean account to test out Dual Bladers
